  • What is the WomenX programme about?

    The WomenX programme is aimed at developing the capacity of women entrepreneurs to improve their enterprise management and business performance. Through a combination of business education sessions, soft skills trainings, small group peer-to-peer coaching sessions and networking events and opportunities – designed to cater to the needs of Pakistani women business-owners – WomenX participants are equipped with the tools to grow and expand their businesses to the next level. A select group of participants are invited to participate in a second phase with one-on-one mentorship opportunities and business clinics.

  • What kinds of topics are covered during the programme?

    Business education classes cover topics including: entrepreneurial vision, marketing, accounting, finance, operations, people’s management/HR, law and taxation. Soft skills training include topics such as leadership, negotiations, and how to pitch your business. Small group peer-to-peer coaching includes exercises that help build upon your business vision, with the support of a network of women entrepreneurs.

  • How will the WomenX programme help me if I am already an established business woman?

    The WomenX programme is specifically designed for established businesswomen who are looking to strengthen their managerial capabilities, professionalize their operations and processes, and grow their businesses. The programme is not open to start-ups since the curriculum is tailored to address business management issues faced by established women business owners.

  • What is the length of the course and how many times a week do classes meet?

    The basic course (Phase 1) is 4 months long. Business education and soft skills classes meet once a week, either on Fridays (Group A) or Saturdays (Group B), with 12-14 classes in total. There are a total of 4 short small group peer-to-peer sessions that are offered on a flexible schedule on weekdays.

    Phase 2 runs for an additional 5 months, with a primary focus on the mentor-mentee relationship. Business clinics and small group peer-to-peer coaching sessions are arranged on a very flexible schedule.

  • What is the difference between Phase 1 and Phase 2?

    Phase 1 offers a suite of business capacity building services designed to equip all women entrepreneurs with the foundational know-how to expand their businesses. Phase 2 builds on the skills and acumen learnt in Phase 1 and offers more personalized business support services whereby each participant is paired with an individual mentor and is able to participate in small, focused business clinics to address business-specific problems and issues.   • Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the program?

    You will receive a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from IBA Aman-CED (Karachi participants)/Government College University Management Studies Department (Lahore participants)/IMSciences (Peshawar participants) at the end of Phase 1.

  • What is the fee structure?

    Phase 1 programme costs are Rs. 10,000/-
    Phase 2 programme costs are an additional Rs. 10,000/- if you are selected to continue.

  • Can I participate in the programme even though I have not yet started my own business?

    The WomenX Entrepreneurship Programme is designed for women business owners who are already running their businesses. However, our networking events are mostly open so please sign up at mhalim@encludesolutions.com to receive information about upcoming events. We also encourage you to follow our national campaign, Women’s INC: http://www.womensinc.pk, which is aimed at positively changing perceptions about women entrepreneurs in Pakistan, and providing women business owners with a community with access to relevant resources and networks.

  • Why do I need to provide my personal and financial information to WomenX?

    WomenX treats all personal and financial information as strictly confidential. Prior to your selection, this information allows us to assess your eligibility for the programme. Data is also maintained for the Monitoring & Evaluation component of the programme which enables us to assess the effectiveness of the programme on your business, once you have been selected.

  • What are Networking Events and how will attending these help me grow my business?

    Networking is an opportunity to meet groups of like-minded business owners and recognize, create, or act upon business opportunities. WomenX places significant importance on networking events because they will allow you to make important linkages in your (or a related) industry and will promote your access to various markets and networks. Additionally, such events will help you establish yourself more firmly within the entrepreneurial space in Pakistan as an established entrepreneur in your own right.

  • What is a Business Growth Action Plan and why is it important for my business?

    A Business Growth Action Plan (BGAP) is an important tool that will enable you to get a clearer understanding of your business vision and growth areas for the near-term. At WomenX, we will help you plan your BGAP for the next 12 months, and you will work out specific, practical “actions” to grow your business. You will be able to implement this plan for your business once you have graduated from Phase 1, either with the support of a WomenX mentor (if you continue on to Phase 2) or on your own!

  • What is Women’s INC.?

    WomenX has 2 core objectives: 1) the WomenX Entrepreneurship Programme; and 2) a national awareness campaign that celebrates the contributions of women entrepreneurs to Pakistan’s economy. This campaign has been branded as “Women’s INC. (Inspiration, Network, Conversation)” and is aimed at positively changing perceptions about women entrepreneurs in Pakistan, and providing women business owners with a community with access to relevant resources and networks.
